Straight off the runway: #SaintJohnCut4
Let me tell you.
At first I was pretty nervous to change the style and direction of #SaintJohnCut. But after a few people told me it would be a nice change to do something other than “go to a pretty place to take pretty pictures of pretty people” – I had to agree.
(but don’t get me wrong, there were a lot of babes on the seven teams!)
This was the creation of #SaintJohnCut4 – 1 week. 7 teams. 3 themes and 3 photos.
The themes were finalized the morning of April 7th. I know, great timing! We chose Grit, Drive and Real.
After a short meeting at Big Tide Brewery (Thanks Chris!) to pick the teams (literally out of a beer jug), we sent the groups on their way to create!
I think the thing that most impressed me about #SJC4 was the willingness of the suppliers (clothing stores, shoes stores, hair salons, spas, makeup artists) to work with each team to create the look they wanted. All of these details can really make or break a shoot. I can’t thank you enough Je Suis Prest, Silver Daisy Designs, Colwell’s, Exchange on Germain, Monique Theriault, Perfumes Plus, Adam Donnelly at Hairacy’s, Made You Blush, Element5 Spa and Manchester Shoe Salon.
I dropped by a few shoots and team meetings during the week. Here are a few of my “behind the scenes” shots.
Team 2 Shooting at the Korner Grocery in Uptown Saint John
Team 7 – Quite a backdrop for their “real” shot
Amy’s hair and makeup before heading west for their “Grit” and “Drive” shots
I crashed a Team 5 meeting at Kelly Lawson’s home.
I just missed Team 4 at Exchange on Germain. This is a peek at their wardrobe.
All 7 teams along with the supporting team members met at Happinez today (Thanks, Peter!) to celebrate the week and share the photos with the entire group. The pictures were incredible. Over the course of the week, I’ll add links to this post to various blog posts, Facebook albums and additional hashtags.
Thanks so much to all of the team members.
