30 BEFORE 30 – UPDATE 7
I just started my 3rd month of CrossFit.
So far – my favourite lift is the dead lift. My favourite activity is box jumping. My least favourite thing to do is anything involving medicine balls.

When I spoke with Cory Brown over the Christmas holidays about joining CrossFit – I told him the goal that I had. He was like “OK, but let me warn you. You’re not going to lose weight going to CrossFit”.
He assured me I’d be happier with how I looked – muscle weighs more than fat blah blah but takes up less space blah blah. He said I’d lose inches, but not pounds.
OK. (also, damn it)
I didn’t quite panic – I knew I’d feel better doing something active rather than earning frequent Netflix viewer points (NB, not actually a thing).
As you might know, I’ve been taking this whole “Weight Watchers” thing pretty seriously. This method was successful for me back in 2010.
Moderating and editing the foods you eat really does make a huge difference when it comes to how you feel, how your body reacts to things you ask it to do and your overall outlook on living your life.
I’m eating way less chips, muffins, bagels-as-lunch and egg&cheese breakfast sandwiches. I’m eating a lot more yogurt, fruits, vegetables and high fibre/high protein/filling foods.
I feel like $1,000,000.
PLUS – I can feel my BICEPS you guys. I didn’t even know I HAD THOSE.
And as it turns out, I’ve lost 18 pounds doing both of these things at the same time.
